Perchloric Acid Fume Hoods features a stainless steel liner for safe handling of acids. It has a seamless Type 316 stainless steel fume chamber with integral work surface and drainage trough all coved corners with baffle and exhaust collar. Optional hood exhaust system has built-in wash down system with spray nozzles and can be connected to front mounted control valve. 

Available in standard widths ranging from 4ft to 8ft, these bench top chemical hoods feature a corrosion-resistant Type 316 stainless steel interior designed to withstand reaction from perchloric acid. The one-piece liner is free of joints, cracks or crevices to prevent a buildup of residue, thereby simplifying the decontamination procedure.

A perchloric acid hood has the general characteristics of a bench-top hood, but the interior lining is coved and welded seamless stainless steel. In perchloric acid hood non-reactive and corrosion-resistant material is extended all the way through the exhaust system. The hood, duct, and fan has a water wash down system to remove perchlorates and prevent the build-up of potentially explosive perchlorate salts.For the interior lining, other non-reactive material, such as CPVC or polypropylene are available when heat is not a concern.
